About the project
SafeHer, a Fa+ir Incubating Feminist AI project, is an app designed for women transit users in Manila, the Philippines, based on their lived experiences and needs.
It provides tools such as SOS alert, live location sharing, scream detection, and a buddy system to enhance their safety on public transport
About the author
Hazel Biana is a Professor of Philosophy at De La Salle University, Manila, Philippines, and a Research Fellow of both the Southeast Asia Research Center and Hub (SEARCH) and the Social Development Research Center (SDRC).
She is the current Vice President of the Philosophical Association of the Philippines (PAP).
