Advancing Human Rights in AI: Our Collaboration with the Canton of Geneva

Women@TheTable is proud to announce the successful completion of our project with the Department of Institutions and Digital Affairs of the Canton of Geneva. With their generous support  we have translated our comprehensive AI & Equality Toolkit for Human Rights Impact Assessment into French, making these critical resources accessible to the Francophone community.

In February 2025, we facilitated two transformative workshops on “Shaping AI with Human Rights in Mind” in Geneva, one in English bringing together representatives from major international organizations and a second in French with local public sector entities. These interactive sessions empowered participants with practical skills for implementing human rights-based approaches throughout the AI lifecycle.

Building on the momentum and insights gained from these workshops, we are now developing groundbreaking research on AI public procurement frameworks that prioritize human rights considerations—an exciting new direction that emerged from our collaborative discussions with stakeholders.

We’re creating a global community that brings together individuals passionate about inclusive, human rights-based AI.

Join our AI & Equality community of students, academics, data scientists and AI practitioners who believe in responsible and fair AI.
